Jennifer Jungen Shim
Jennifer Jungen Shim is an artist, designer, and educator.
A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Jennifer began her career in graphic design, working with leading brands including Shilla Hotels & Resorts, Victoria’s Secret, and Chandelier Creative in New York. Her work spans visual identity, typography, illustration, and art direction, shaped by an international life across Seoul, New York, London, Tokyo, and now the Seattle area.
Studio Art Club
In 2023, Jennifer founded Studio Art Club in the British School in Tokyo. The class grew from her desire to create a more thoughtful and engaging approach to art education for young artists.
Drawing on her background in design and fine art, Jennifer developed hands-on classes that encouraged children and teens to look closely, observe the world around them, experiment with materials, and develop their own artistic sensibilities.

Jennifer is an art director specializing in graphic design, typography, illustration and fine art. Her work spans numerous mediums and applications, from simple illustrations to corporate identities.
She has a global outlook shaped by living and working in Seoul, London, New York, Tokyo, and the Seattle area, bringing diverse cultural influences into creative work and educational experiences.
